Excerpts from interview
It’s an interesting transition to go from being a biopharma strategy consultant to an astrologer and numerologist. Was this shift brought about by a turning point in your work?
I have always been inclined toward spirituality and metaphysics. Over time, this passion grew stronger and I began studying energy sciences, numerology and astrology alongside my professional life. The real shift happened when my research and practical practice in this sector started to show discernible impacts in people’s lives, whether it was helping them make better decisions, find clarity in difficult situations, or build stronger connections. I realised that this was more than just a pastime; it was my mission and purpose. I’ve decided to go all the way down this path in order to turn numerology, astrology and spiritual sciences into evidence-based tools for both professional and personal growth, rather than just belief systems. I enjoy helping businesses and individuals today match cosmic intelligence with a methodical, scientific and goal-oriented approach.

In a world where artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making rule, how can you place astrology and numerology in a framework that frequently rejects sciences that rely on intuition?
It’s interesting to note that Indian business executives are generally less receptive to numerology and astrology than their counterparts in other countries. On the other hand, global leaders and businesses are becoming more receptive to studying energy sciences, subconscious consumer behaviour and pattern-based decision-making, often viewing astrology and numerology as alternative strategic tools rather than straightforward belief systems. My approach, which is grounded in statistics, research and evidence-based models, aids in bridging this gap. In areas where artificial intelligence or data cannot fully reach, astrology and numerology provide complementary frameworks that include cosmic timing, vibrational alignment and emotional connections. When executives, particularly those in branding, marketing, or leadership positions, recognise the practical advantages, the opposition gradually vanishes from factors like launch timings, brand name vibrations or retention tactics developed utilising numerology.

You use numerology and astrology to highlight a “Proactive, Preventive and Personalised” approach to pleasure. What indicators do you employ to verify the effects of this approach?
That’s a tremendously fascinating problem because, in my opinion, it’s crucial to quantify astrology and numerology and drive results.  My 3P approach is designed to have practical impacts by combining self-assessed psychometric criteria for people with standard business indicators for businesses. I track changes in people’s decision-making clarity, emotional stability, relationship satisfaction, confidence, resilience, stress reduction and alignment with life goals. I frequently ask clients to rate their own emotional health, goal achievement and sense of purpose before and after the session. For businesses, the measurement is more data-driven and methodical. My decisions are influenced by metrics such as the Net Promoter Score (NPS), revenue growth, customer retention rate, conversion rate improvement, staff productivity index, leadership alignment score and campaign participation metrics. I also track changes in sales cycle optimisation, consumer acquisition cost reduction and brand recall in campaigns like smell marketing, launch timing, or numerology-based rebranding. Combining these signs ensures that any personal or business action is outcome-driven, measurable and validated, proving that astrology and numerology may have a real impact outside of belief systems when applied properly.
You have introduced numerology and astrology into academic and intellectual settings. Have you faced any opposition from philosophers or scientists?
That’s an excellent point and it’s true that bringing astrology and numerology into intellectual and academic settings like TEDx stages and university lectures inevitably draws criticism from philosophers and scientists, particularly from those who view these fields as belief-based or devoid of empirical support. But rather than viewing this opposition as a challenge, I see it as an opportunity. I respond to these criticisms by presenting astrology and numerology as pattern-recognition fields with a strong foundation in mathematics, psychology and energy dynamics rather than as prediction tools. Similar to my work at IIM Ahmedabad on numerology in digital marketing and consumer behaviour, my presentations are always backed up by data-driven case studies, research studies and actual business outcomes.Presenting India’s Knowledge Systems (IKS) as contemporary, evidence-based and complementary to current science has always been my aim, not in opposition to it.

How can you set your job apart from wellness fads and self-help trends in a society when mental health and self-optimisation are hot topics?
That is a really relevant topic, especially in the current day and age when mental health and self-optimisation have become major topics of conversation. Unlike ephemeral self-help groups or wellness fads, astrology and numerology are timeless, well-organised sciences that are deeply rooted in our understanding of the human mind, body and soul. My approach is proactive, preventive and tailored, helping people understand their unique energy blueprint, subconscious patterns and karmic influences that truly control their behaviour, emotions and decision-making—unlike fads that offer quick fixes. I am adamant that astrology, numerology and esoteric sciences be incorporated into mainstream well-being practices—not as magical extras, but as vital, tried-and-true instruments for holistic wellness. Astrology and Ayurveda are sometimes compared to twin sisters since they both aim to help individuals live in harmony with their natural energies and cosmic cycles. Astrology and numerology handle the cerebral, emotional, and spiritual levels, while Ayurveda tackles the physical. By doing so, we can learn about the causes of certain cycles, the locations of imbalances and proactive ways to bring about harmony.

You have given research presentations at IIM Nagpur on spirituality as a psychological intervention for identity affirmation in the transgender community and at IIM Ahmedabad on numerology in digital marketing and consumer behaviour in gemstone purchases. What motivated you to introduce occult sciences into these academic settings?
My conviction that India’s Knowledge Systems (IKS), such as astrology, numerology and spirituality, have enormous practical value but lack scientific presentation in contemporary platforms is what motivated me to introduce occult sciences into academic settings like IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Nagpur.  My objective was to close this gap and demonstrate that these sciences are resilient when supported by facts, research and practical applications. My studies on the use of numerology in digital marketing and gemstone purchasing at IIM Ahmedabad demonstrated how planetary alignments and number vibrations affect subconscious consumer choices, brand recall and purchasing patterns. What surprised me was how interested brand strategists and marketers were in incorporating these findings into customer retention and neuromarketing strategies! My paper at IIM Nagpur on spirituality as a psychological intervention for transgender identity affirmation was incredibly satisfying. It emphasised how energy sciences and astro-numerology might improve marginalised populations’ emotional fortitude, sense of self-worth and standard of living.

In a time of swift scientific progress and evolving cultural beliefs, what do you think the future of numerology and astrology holds?
Being one of the youngest numerologists to give a TEDx talk reaffirmed my belief that numerology and astrology are bringing about a new era where they will live in harmony with science, technology and shifting consumer preferences. The future of these traditional sciences lies in their interaction with data-driven models, behavioural psychology and artificial intelligence. They are structured, evidence-based tools for not just personal growth and business strategy, but also wellness, beauty and lifestyle sectors. Personalised, aura-driven items will eventually become popular. These include face care, cosmetics, scents and health supplements that are tailored to a person’s planetary alignments and aura analysis. Similar to this, energy-based retreats, aura-driven wellness tourism and even sleep tourism that aligns with astrological cycles will gain popularity by offering people holistic experiences designed to rejuvenate their bodies, minds and souls in harmony with cosmic energies. I also see corporates taking on roles like Chief Astrology Officers (CAO) to advise on hiring, branding, market timing and customer retention. As cultural belief systems shift beyond fads, people will look for personalised, preventive and energy-aligned solutions in many areas of life. Old knowledge and modern science may coexist and thrive in this new era, as demonstrated by the potential for occult sciences, numerology and astrology to become essential foundations of holistic well-being, business success, product innovation and even policy-making.
