BRS candidate for Bhupalapally Assembly constituency Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday campaigned intensively on Friday. He filed his nomination papers on Thursday. He pledged to strive for the welfare of the people and develop Bhupalapalli a model town.
Venkata Ramana Reddy performed special puja at Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Podavutancha, Lod Siva at Chelpur and Lord Anjaneya Swamy temple in Bhupalapalli before filing his nomination papers.
He sought to impress upon the people that the State, particularly the Bhupalapally constituency, made rapid progress under the BRS rule. There were no power cuts now. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao succeeded in ensuring uninterrupted power supply to all sectors.
He campaigned at several places in the town on Friday. He launched a door-to-door campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA appealed to the electorate to vote for the Car symbol and ensure that the BRS would form the government after the forthcoming elections. He promised to ensure that all the works, such as drainage, internal roads and other developmental works are completed.
He said that he had developed the constituency with the blessing of the Chief Minister. The drinking water problems were solved and the laying of internal roads was completed, he said.
He said that he had secured the maximum amount of funds from the government for the development of the Bhupalapally constituency. Under the BRS regime, integrated district offices complex, and all government offices under one roof, a medical college was sanctioned to the district, a huge amount of funds were released for the development of the municipality, a bypass road was built here besides implementing several development initiatives, she said.
