Telangana High Court order holds no importance as members of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi break open the barricades on Tank Bund and immerse PoP Ganesh idols in it on Sunday. As the committees forcibly immersing the idols there were arrangements being made indicating the cranes will be arranged on the side of the water body where the High Court has not granted permission. There are videos of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi members walking with the slogans of Jai Ganesh and thrashing the barricades, stepping on them in public. One of the members, Sasidhar, said that over the years Ganesh idols were being immersed on Tank Bund and there is no need for the State government and police to set new rules which will disappoint the devotees. He recalled that during 2022 and 2023, the imposed restrictions on Tank Bund were relaxed later. Other members have said that the State government should make necessary arrangements for the immersion of Ganesh idols on Tank Bund and if not the members will call out for all devotees and immerse their idols by themselves.
