Andhra Pradesh Global Investment Summit drew leading industrialists and delegates of several MNCs to the port city of Visakhapatnam. Most of the top business leaders and several senior ministers unveiled the future investment plans for the state.
Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ* discussed the role of Adani Group in the industrial growth of the state. Adani congratulated the CM and said, “It is your mix of astute and efficient governance that has brought business houses like Adani to AP. Adani group’s partnership with the Government of AP for the ports is an exemplary model of public-private partnership. Currently, Adani group operates two large private ports in AP, Krishnapatnam and Gangavaram port with a total capacity of 100 million metric tons per annum. We aim to add another 100 million metric tons of capacity and also transform these ports into industrial port cities.”
GMR to invest Rs 5,000 cr develop Bhogapuram airport
The GMR Group which is in the process of developing an international airport at Bhogapuram near here will be investing Rs 5,000 crore on the aerodrome in the first phase.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Global Investors Summit 2023 being held here, GM Rao, chairman of GMR Group said the first phase of the airport will be developed to serve six million passengers per annum.
“We will be developing Bhogapuram Airport with the first phase serving six million passengers and an ultimate capacity of 40 million passenger (per annum).
