The police seized 1,230 grams of ganja and arrested one person at Chopparmetla village in Nuzvid mandal on Wednesday. Agiripalli SI Namburu Chantibabu told the media on a tip off, a police team conducted a raid at the village and found the accused Palagai Krishna Rao with the bag containing ganja.
The police seized 1,230 grams of cannabis from his possession. The accused purchased ganja three years ago in Vijayawada railway station and he started consuming the same. He was addicted to ganja. Now he is not only consuming ganja but also selling the same to others to earn money. When the accused was waiting for a bus on the road, the police arrested him and seized the ganja.
