Geetha Reddy to receive Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award on Oct 19

Former Minister Dr J. Geetha Reddy will receive the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award on the occasion of the 34th Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhvana Yatra Commemoration Day at the Charminar on Saturday.
Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Committee members A. Shyam Mohan, G. Anand and others revealed this on Monday at the Gandhi Bhavan.
They said that Dr J. Geetha Reddy is a veteran Congress leader, former minister, three-time MLA and TPCC Working President.
They said that the late Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister and former Congress President hoisted the Congress flag and started his Sadbhvana Yatra in the twin cities from the historic Charminar on October 19, 1990.
They said that the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Committee had been observing this day as the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Day’ for the last 34 years and organizing a programme at the Charminar every year and honouring an eminent personality with the Sadbhavana Award.
The panel consisting of Ex-MLC B. Kamalakar Rao and A. Shyam Mohan, the Chairman of the TPCC Intellectual Cell selected Dr J. Geeta Reddy for the Sadbhavana Award this year.
TPCC President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud MLC will hoist the Congress flag (where Rajiv hoisted the party flag in 1990).
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and AICC in-charge Deepadas Munshi will be the chief guests at the function.

Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy will preside over the function.
Ministers Damodar Raja Narsimha, D. Sridhar Babu, Seethakka, AICC Secretaries Vishnunadh MLA, Vishwanathan, V. Hanumanth Rao, and other leaders will also attend the function.
