NTR District Collector Dr G Srijana has asked the bankers to give utmost importance to sanctioning loans to beneficiaries apart from better services to the customers. Banks should create belief in customers to provide quality services to them and then only they can compete with other banks, she said.
Srijana inaugurated the Union Bank of India’s new branch at RTC Workshop Road at Vidyadharapuram in Vijayawada on Wednesday. She also handed over a Rs.7-lakh car loan to city-based woman Naga Sunitha.
Speaking on the occasion, she underlined that bankers should give utmost importance to sanctioning loans to beneficiaries apart from providing better services to the customers. Vijayawada is a big business centre and many industries and trading organisations are working here, she said.
She urged the bankers to provide loans to establish industrial units for young, enthusiastic industrialists. Also, the bankers should work for the welfare of farmers by giving crop loans to them. She asked the bankers to come forward to provide loans to government schemes including the Mudra loans.
NTR District Joint Collector Dr P Sampath Kumar, Union Bank of India Zonal Head Bhaskara Rao, Regional Head Muvvala Sridhar Deputy Regional Heads Harish Betha, ISN Murthy and others were present.
