‘Poised to scale great heights’

Rajya Sabha Member Santosh Kumar has wished The Swatantra TV news channel, which gives factual news and news analysis, to achieve more progress in future and wanted the TV channel to continue with its commitment and the style of functioning in future too.
He was taking part as the chief guest of the evening at the first anniversary celebrations of Swatantra TV channel held at the Tourism Plaza in Begumpet here on Sunday. The celebrations were formally inaugurated by Swatantra TV channel MD B Krishna Prasad by lighting a lamp.
The MP threw a challenge to Krishna Prasad to take part in his green India challenge.
Another chief guest of the evening KVP Ramachandra Rao, addressing the gathering, recalled his association with the channel MD on the occasion. He exuded confidence that the news channel under the direction of Krishna Prasad would attain dizzy heights.
GHMC Deputy Mayor Srilata Reddy, guest of the evening, conveyed her greetings to the channel team.
TDP organising secretary Kasani Veeresam Mudiraj, Telangana Jana Samiti president Prof Kodandaram, CPI state secretary Kunapaneni Sambasiva Rao and CPI secretariat member Narasimha Rao and others graced the occasion.
Home Minister Mohamood Ali, who was the guest of honour, lauded the TV channel’s progress and wished that it should scale more heights in future. He also desired that the print media and TV media establishments being run by Krishna Prasad should achieve more success. He congratulated the MD on the occasion.
The classical music programme, folk dances, mimicry performance presented on the occasion enthralled the audiences.
Over 500 Swatantra TV channel employees and also several well-wishers and friends of the media establishment took part in the celebrations.
The channel Managing Director Krishna Prasad thanked the guests of the evening and others for making the programme a grand success.
