Godavari Express’s golden jubilee celebrated

The completion of 50 years of service by Godavari Express was celebrated at Vijayawada railway station on Thursday night.
The 12727/28 Godavari Express completed 50 years of its illustrious run on February 1 st, 2024.  On the occasion, the golden jubilee of Godavari Express was held on Platform 6 on its arrival.
Narendra A Patil, DRM, the chief guest congratulated the SCR rail fans for taking the initiative in these celebrations and expressed his delight to be part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Godavari Express.
He said that such trains are part of the rich legacy of Indian Railways and deserve to be celebrated with great pride. On the occasion, a huge cake-cutting ceremony was organized by SCR Rail Fans. The Loco Pilots and Maintenance Staff of Godavari Express also expressed their happiness.
The SCR Rail Fans presented mementoes to Narendra A Patil, DRM,  Vavilapalli  Rambabu, Sr. DCM,  Nusrat Mandrupkar, PRO, PBN Prasad, AOM and crew of Godavari Express on the occasion. Specially made souvenir key chains were distributed to staff and the public.
