In a strong demonstration of commitment to expediting development in Uttarandhra, key leaders from  YSRCP, including Uttarandhra regional coordinator YV Subbareddy and State Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath, examined the ongoing construction activities at the Bhogapuram International Airport on Saturday. The visit, attended by YCP MLAs, MPs, and public representatives, signifies a reinvigorated commitment to fostering infrastructure and economic growth in the region.
The delegation actively engaged with contractors to acquire valuable insights into the state-of-the-art greenfield project, projected to incur an estimated cost of Rs 5,000 crores. Subbareddy applauded Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s unwavering dedication to Uttarandhra’s development, highlighting the airport as a tangible symbol of this commitment.
Underlining the uninterrupted construction progress since the foundation stone laying in May 2023, Subbareddy emphasized significant advancements achieved within six months. He contrasted this with the previous government’s ceremonial inauguration strategy, which lacked substantive construction initiation. The leaders expressed confidence in the airport’s timely completion within the stipulated 30-month timeframe.
Subbareddy reiterated Chief Minister Reddy’s visionary plan to elevate Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital, thereby driving comprehensive development in Uttarandhra. The inspection underscores the government’s commitment to extending infrastructure projects beyond the airport, encompassing the Moolapet and Ramayapatnam ports.
Minister Amarnath underscored the government’s dedication to creating employment opportunities for residents through these developmental projects. He assured fair compensation for those who relinquished land for the airport’s construction and stressed the provision of necessary facilities.
Reaffirming the YCP government’s steadfast commitment to Uttarandhra’s progress, Amarnath dismissed opposition criticism and spotlighted the rapid progress of various development projects, including the Bhogapuram Airport, Mulapeta Port, and Ramayapatnam Port. Commending Chief Minister Reddy’s hands-on approach, Amarnath cited recent initiatives such as an aerial survey of the Moolapet Port and proactive measures to address healthcare concerns, including kidney research in Uddanam.
Acknowledging Chief Minister Reddy’s visionary leadership, Amarnath expressed gratitude for the decision to sanction Visakhapatnam. He also announced the imminent opening of the Beach Corridor and Adani Data Center, further contributing to the region’s development.
Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad Chairman Majji Srinivasa Rao assured that residents near the airport have received fair compensation, with ongoing measures to ensure their well-being. Rao expressed optimism about the transformative potential of the Bhogapuram Airport and Mulapeta Port for the region’s overall development.
The YCP leaders’ visit to the Bhogapuram International Airport serves as a renewed pledge to drive development and prosperity in Uttarandhra. The inspection offers concrete evidence of progress on pivotal infrastructure projects and underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the lives of local residents.
