Govt committed to providing quality education to students: Surekha

Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha on Wednesday said that the State government is committed to providing quality education to students, particularly those from poor families. She exhorted the youth to study hard to come up in life.
Participating in the Badi Bata programme at a Zilla Parishad School in Kulcharam mandal, the Minister pointed out that several people who studied in government schools had reached the pinnacle of success. She hoped that the students in government schools too would scale new heights in their chosen fields.  
The Badi Bata programme has enthused students. As part of the programme, Surekha distributed uniforms and textbooks to students. MLA Sunita Lakshama Reddy, District Collector Rahul Raj P S and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that education is key to reducing social inequality. She appealed to parents to enrol their children in government schools. The Congress government would government on a par with the corporate schools. Under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, revolutionary changes would be brought to education. She promised to ensure that quality education is provided to every student.
It was the first time, she said, that the government had distributed textbooks and uniforms to students on the first day of the reopening of schools.

The officials explained that developmental works in schools were completed under the supervision of Amma Adarsa Patasala Committees.
