Govt committed to the welfare of all sections

Minister for Agriculture S Niranjan Reddy on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community hall for push-cart vendors Hamali Association in the eighth ward here and handed over the association a copy of the proceedings sanctioning Rs 5 lakh.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said the objective of the government is the welfare of all. The government is committed to the welfare of all sections of people. The government has been striving to ensure that everyone leads a dignified life. Welfare and development are two eyes of the government. Changes ushered in society with the availability of irrigation facilities. During the past nine years, employment opportunities increased manifold in Telangana.

The State has been experiencing reverse migration. As such, workers from north India have been gainfully employed in agricultural fields, rice mills and even in provision stores, he said.

Huge showrooms are being set up in Wanaparthy, he said. It showed that the town has been expanding.

Zilla Parishad Chairman Loknath Reddy, Municipal Chairman Gattu Yadav, vice-chairman Vakiti Sridhar, Markfed director Vijaya Kumar, councillors Narayana, Naganna Yadav, Ramulu, former councillor Tirumal, push-cart vendors’ association president Balaswamy and others were present.
