The Minister participated in the distribution of social security pensions at Somavaram and Chatrai villages in the Nuzvid constituency on Tuesday. He handed over pension amounts to some beneficiaries at their homes and inquired whether they were benefiting from the welfare schemes. A total of 8,322 beneficiaries received Rs 35.16 lakh in social security pensions in Chatrai mandal.
In his address, the Minister highlighted that over 63.75 lakh beneficiaries are receiving Rs 2,717.31 crore under the NTR Bharosa social security pension scheme. “As promised by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Srikakulam district on November 1, pensions under the ‘spouse category’ are being distributed from this month. In this regard, 5,402 people across the state have been granted pensions, while 212 people in Eluru district have received pensions under this category,” Minister Parthasarathi stated.
The Minister also mentioned that 50,000 beneficiaries who had not collected their pensions for three months due to various reasons were disbursed their arrears.
Announcing the inauguration of the new 200-bed government hospital, the Minister assured that all advanced medical equipment would be provided.
