Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao emphasised that the Telangana government is giving priority to farmers. The development of villages depends on the well-being of farmers. He made these remarks during the oath-taking ceremony of the Agricultural Market Committee held at ANR Garden in Alair on Sunday.
The event was attended by Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Bhuvanagiri MP Ch Kiran Kumar Reddy, and Government Whip and Alair MLA Beerla Aileya, who administered the oaths to the committee members.
The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to farmers, noting that Rs 7,650 crore has been deposited into farmers’ accounts so far. He also mentioned that the waiver of loans for farmers up to Rs 2 lakh was fulfilled. He assured the farmers that he would address various issues in the Nalgonda district promptly and that he would participate in the foundation stone-laying ceremonies along with Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
Expressing gratitude to the farmers present, he announced plans to sanction agricultural warehouses for the market soon. He highlighted that the government would provide drinking water, irrigation, and job opportunities, stating that the government is working accordingly.
Subsequently, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy assured his commitment to resolving issues in the Alair constituency. He stated that he is aware of the problems in every village and that solutions will be implemented swiftly.
The event was also attended by Market Committee Chairman Chaitanya Mahender Reddy, Vice Chairman Pachimatla Madhar Goud, officials, and public representatives.
