The Andhra Pradesh state government has issued a notice to the AP Government Employees Association (APGEA). The notices said that an explanation should be given within a week as to why the association’s recognition should not be cancelled.
The government has said that it is against the rules of ROSA to complain to the AP Governor against the State government to make a law and pay salaries on time and solve the problems of the employees. Notice was issued based on the news in the media. The government questioned why they met the Governor even if there was a way to approach the government on wages and financial issues and get them resolved. Notice was served on AP Government Employees Association president KR Suryanarayana by the General Administration Department (HR).
Responding to the notice, on Monday Suryanarayana said that the State government has issued notices after meeting Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan on the employee issues and later for talking to the media. He said that the government asked to reply to the notice within a week.
The association will explain everything in the given time.
Speaking to the media, he made it clear that they are ready to face whatever action the government takes. He further said it would be better if the government gives a clear schedule on the financial payments in the notice and commented that the State Governor was also a part of the State government, said Suryanarayana.
APGEA general secretary G Askara Rao said that the representatives of some associations will be happy if their recognition is revoked. He stated that the associations should remember that sooner or later they will also face the same situation. He said that they met the Governor abiding by the rules and no complaint has been made to the Governor. He further said that they have only appealed to the Governor to solve their problems. Askara Rao further said that those who spoke to the media the other day belong to various asssociations, “Will the rules apply to them too?” he questioned.
