Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has claimed that the state government has been providing transparent administration in the state.
He was taking part as the chief guest at the 78th Independence Day celebrations held at the Government Degree College grounds here on Thursday.
The Minister said so far 2.23 crore women availed free bus travel facility in Telangana. The Rajiv Aarogyasri limit has been doubled to Rs 10 lakh to provide corporate medical treatment facilities to the poor. Under Mahalakshmi scheme, the government has been providing an LPG cylinder to the poor at Rs 500 each. Under Gruhajyoti, free power up to 200 units is being provided to the poor.
The first phase of loan waiver benefited 53,129 farmers to the tune of Rs 290 crore, while the second phase benefited 27,875 to the tune of Rs 277 crore. The  third phase of loan waiver of crops loans up to Rs 2 lakh commenced from Thursday.
Earlier, he inspected a guard of honour presented by the police.
Collector Manu Chaudhary and CP Anuradha and others were present.
