The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao-led Telangana Government issued orders regularizing the services of 567 Contract Teachers who have been working with Telangana Social Welfare Department’s Gurukula schools for the last 16 years.
The government also announced 12 months’ salary and basic pay with six months of maternity leave to contract teachers working in the Gurukulams of the Social Welfare Department.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended his greetings to the entire teaching fraternity on the occasion of Teacher’s Day (former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary) on September 5.
KCR said that the role of teachers in inculcating discipline, raising students’ awareness, creating a clear understanding of their goals and succeeding in achieving their hopes is commendable.
The CM said the famous quote, ‘Matru devobhava Pitru devobhava Acharya devobhava’ explains the importance of a teacher.He said that the Telangana government has been implementing action plans to ensure the welfare of teachers and to provide quality education for students.
Telangana has already set an example for the country in the field of education and is in the forefront in shaping the future generation by providing quality education.
The CM said that the measures undertaken by the government to provide quality education are yielding good results. Due to the progressive policies adopted by the Telangana government, KCR said that students studying in government schools are bringing laurels to the state.
Telangana gained importance at the national and international level in academics and sports. This is a testament to the Telangana government’s dedication to providing quality education to the needy.
