APJAC Amaravati has announced an action plan in various phases seeking the resolution of long-pending issues of government employees. APJAC Amaravati State executive meeting was held at Vijayawada in Revenue Bhavan on Sunday.
APJAC Chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and general secretary Palisetti Damodara Rao deplored that severe injustice was done to the government in the 11th PRC as the hopes of employees of salary increase shattered with the decrease in wages due in the 11th PRC.
The leaders further deplored that due to pending arrears, the employees were forced to face severe financial crises and further were forced to postpone the marriages of their daughters. They said that there are many employees in such poor conditions that they cannot get better treatment even if their family members fall ill and further there are situations where employees are facing financial problems to pay the school/college fees of their children on time.
The APJAC Amaravati leaders recalled that for all these issues, a 50-page memorandum was submitted to the Chief Secretary of the Government on February 13 seeking resolution of difficulties, problems, financial and non-financial problems faced by all departmental employees and cadres but in vain.
The APJAC Amaravati leaders announced an action plan in a phased manner under which on February 27, they will meet all associations and unions to garner their support for their protest programme.
On March 9 and 10, all the employees will wear black badges and attend their duties in protest. On March 13 and 14 protest meetings at Collector / RDO offices across the state during lunch break.
On March 15, 17, and 20 would organise massive protests at the offices of District Collectors.
On March 21, they will conduct ‘cell down’ protests without using cell phones and on March 24 they will stage dharnas at all commissioner offices. On April 3, they will submit memorandums to the Collectors. On April 5, APJAC Amaravati will hold a State working group meeting to finalise its future plan of action.
