The government is soon going to provide digital cards to Arogyasri beneficiaries. Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao has revealed that it has been decided to issue new cards in the wake of increasing the limit of Arogyasri services from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh as per the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Soon Arogyasri digital cards will be created and distributed to the beneficiaries in the districts through local public representatives. On Tuesday, a board meeting was held at the Arogyasri Health Care Trust office in Jubilee Hills under the chairmanship of the Health Minister. For this purpose, it has been directed to complete the e KYC process of the beneficiaries quickly.
Health Secretary Rizvi, Arogyasri Health Care Trust CEO Vishalachi, CM’s OSD Gangadhar, DME Ramesh Reddy, Director of Public Health G Srinivas Rao, TVVP Commissioner Ajay Kumar, NIMS Director Birappa and other officials participated in the meeting. Key decisions were taken on this occasion.
Medical audit of Arogyasri cases should be conducted by NIMS specialist doctors. It has been decided to give an additional incentive of Rs 1.30 crore to Koti ENT Hospital, which has successfully conducted 856 black fungus surgeries and saved people’s lives, which was never done anywhere during the Covid pandemic.
Currently, the government is providing free cochlear implant surgeries to treat and repair deaf and dumb children at Koti ENT Hospital. A decision was taken to form a committee to make this type of service available in MGM Warangal as well.
While there were only three dialysis centres in the state before the formation of Telangana, the Telangana government increased the number to 103. Dialysis centres have been set up within the constituency without the need to go to far off places. This has become a boon for those with kidney ailments. The Board has given permission to design and use special software for online monitoring in order to provide more quality dialysis services.
Apart from this, Arogyasri has allowed patients to use face recognition software. It has been decided to implement this policy to provide services to people in a more transparent manner as there are some difficulties in the biometric system.
