Government Whip Aadi Srinivas on Saturday wondered whether Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao’s (KTR) padayatra (foot march) is merely to tell people that the BRS government had accumulated a debt of 7 lakh crores over 10 years.
Speaking after inaugurating paddy procurement centres in Bhusha Naravupet and Sirikonda villages under the Kethalapur mandal in the Vemulawada constituency, he criticised KTR and former minister T Harish Rao, saying they were speaking out of frustration after losing their positions. He expressed doubt whether KTR and Harish Rao would undertake padayatra if they were still in power.
He questioned how the BRS leaders could defend the persons caught with cocaine after someone made a complaint by dialling 100.
He said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is working to improve the state’s financial position by curbing corruption and weeding out irregularities during the previous administration. The Chief Minister was coming to the Secretariat daily and working for 18 hours.
He urged BRS leaders to stop spreading false news and instead focus on development.
Congress leaders, activists and farmers were present.
