NTR District Collector Dr G Srijana has said that the government would pay the share to be paid by the tribal beneficiaries in the allotment of houses and fulfil the dream of owning a house.
Collector G Srujana along with Tribal Welfare Department Officer J Sunitha presented the cheques to the beneficiaries at the collector’s chamber on the premises of the Collectorate in Vijayawada on Saturday.
On this occasion, the District Collector said that the government has granted houses in Rajarajeshwaripet under the JNNURM scheme to Palaparthi Gouri, a transgender belonging to the tribal community (Erukula), and Mindyala Mariamma, a multi-talented woman, who are living at Ajithsingh Nagar in Vijayawada. She said that the beneficiaries who are in poor financial condition are unable to pay the amount to be paid under the beneficiary’s share to get the houses and requested financial assistance from the government.
Further, she said that after recognising the condition of the beneficiaries, financial assistance of Rs.66,000 was granted to each of them from the tribal welfare department and the construction of houses was done.
Meanwhile, District Collector G Srujana said that by paying the financial assistance granted by the government under the share to be paid by the beneficiaries directly to the municipal corporation and allowing a house in Rajarajeshwaripet, the dream of owning a house has been fulfilled.
