Mahesh Babu collaborated with Trivikram for the third time on “Guntur Kaaram,” released in January to coincide with the Sankranthi festival. Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female leads, alongside a talented ensemble cast including Ramya Krishna, Prakash Raj, and Jagapathi Babu. However, the film’s production was marred by controversies, including a halt in shooting due to creative differences between Mahesh Babu and the action choreographers. Pooja Hegde was initially cast but left the project due to delays. Cinematographer PS Vinod also departed midway through filming. Despite receiving negative reviews, producer S Radhakrishna claimed to have generated profits through Hindi dubbing rights and OTT, satellite channels. S Thaman composed the film’s music.
