Harish accuses Govt of selective justice

Must read

BRS MLA Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress Government, accusing them of selective justice and negligence. He asked whether the law was being applied equally or had become a tool for Congress leaders to shield themselves and target others.
He pointed out the Chief Minister’s promptness in pursuing cases against specific individuals, like film star Allu Arjun, while
neglecting grave issues affecting ordinary citizens. “Is the same zeal visible when dealing with matters affecting all sections of society?” he asked.
Referring to the tragic deaths of over 50 Gurukul students due to the government’s alleged negligence, Harish criticised the Congress Government for failing to provide even a single rupee as ex-gratia to the grieving families.
He also pointed at Revanth Reddy, who holds key welfare portfolios and questioned his accountability in the matter.
Harish highlighted instances of inaction, such as the failure to register an FIR in the suicide case of a former sarpanch, Sai Reddy, who allegedly blamed the Chief Minister’s brother for harassment in his suicide note.
He added, “Why hasn’t your brother been arrested yet? Is the law only for others and not for you?”
Harish also raised concern over the deaths of over 80 auto-rick drivers and 450 farmers and asked why these incidents did not evoke any response from the government. “Targeting a single individual deliberately damages the state’s image,” he warned.
Citing the recent attack on Allu Arjun’s residence, Harish claimed the attackers were Congress loyalists who had earlier posed for photos with the actor. “Now, the same individuals are being used to create chaos and tarnish reputations,” he said.
Harish also recalled an attack on his camp office in Siddipet, purportedly orchestrated by Congress goons. He accused the Congress Government of suppressing dissent and attempting to silence the opposition through violence, a practice he claimed was unprecedented in Telangana’s history.
“The Congress Government is bringing violent tendencies reminiscent of Rayalaseema group fights, destroying law and order in Telangana,” he stated and urged the public to reject these tactics.
Harish emphasised that Telangana would not tolerate such a culture and warned that Revanth and the Congress would have to pay a heavy price for their actions.
