Harish performs  prayers at Mallannasagar after  water released

Must read

Former Minister and MLA Harish Rao visited Mallannasagar to offer special prayers following the release of a record 21 tmc ft of water into the project. Joining him in the event were MLAs Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, MLC Venkatram Reddy, along with several BRS leaders and party workers.
Harish asked when will the government start the distribution of fishlings. “Last year, in August fishlings were distributed, it’s September and so far distribution has not started”, he said
“Mallannasagar, built by KCR, now holds 21 tmc ft of water, appearing like an ocean,” said Harish Rao. “The sight brings immense satisfaction.” He added that the fully filled Mallannasagar is a slap in the face of those who claimed that the Kaleshwaram project had failed and drowned.
He also countered Congress leaders’ statements that Rs 1 lakh crore was wasted, stating that the gushing waters of the Godavari stand as testimony to the success of Kaleshwaram. “If Kaleshwaram had failed, where did the 21 tmc ft of water in Mallannasagar come from?” he questioned. He further mentioned that water from Yellampally, Lakshmi Barrage, Annapurna Barrage, Ranganayak Sagar, and Kondapochamma Sagar is flowing due to the connectivity through Kaleshwaram. Rao emphasised that every crop grown under the Kaleshwaram project holds KCR’s name in the hearts of farmers, and he urged Congress to stop their false propaganda. Rao praised the successful filling of Annapurna (3 tmc ft), Ranganayak Sagar (3 tmc ft), and Kondapochamma (10 tmc ft) tanks, attributing the success to KCR’s efforts. He criticised Congress for continuing its smear campaigns and highlighted that the BRS is focused on providing water to farmers, unlike Congress, which is involved in diversion politics.

“With 21 tmc ft, Mallannasagar stands as a living witness to the success of Kaleshwaram,” Rao concluded, inviting Congress leaders to visit Mallanna Sagar and atone for their false accusations by offering prayers. He questioned whether they were against crops flourishing in Medak, Yadadri, and Siddipet districts.
