Former minister T Harish Rao attended the Alai Balai event held under the leadership of former MLA Chanti Kranti Kiran at Andole in Medak district.
In his remarks, Harish Rao expressed his grief over the loss of prominent leaders like Vijayarama Raju and Allam Nawaz Reddy, offering his deep condolences to their families. “They have made significant contributions to the party, and I pay my respects to them,” he said. Harish Rao expressed happiness in participating in the Alai Balai event, describing it as a celebration that brought immense inspiration during the Telangana movement.
He emphasised the cultural importance of Alai Balai, where people from all castes come together to celebrate Batukamma and honor nature. “Telangana is a land that cherishes the worship of flowers and nature,” he added. Commenting on the current state of governance, Harish Rao criticised the failures under Revanth Reddy’s administration. “Under KCR’s rule, there were no such issues.
In Sangareddy, two people lost their lives due to drinking contaminated water. “While we provided safe water through Mission Bhagiratha, even that is being neglected now.” He further criticised the lack of farmer support and other welfare schemes. “There is no Rythu Bandhu, no Batukamma sarees, and the loan waiver hasn’t materialized. December 9 and August 15 have passed, and yet the promises remain unfulfilled. Minister Tummala recently said that the loan waiver will be completed by December 9, but they’ve already wasted a year.” Meanwhile, Legislative Council Opposition Leader Madhusudhanachari also spoke, highlighting Telangana’s unity in diversity. “Telangana is a testament to unity in diversity, where people of all castes, religions, and regions live in harmony. KCR’s ten years of governance were without any hurdles and set an example for the entire country,” he remarked.
