Actress Harleen Sethi was recently in the immense wilderness and chock full of biodiversity—at the tropical island of Bali. She was drawing millions of experiences from a beautiful amalgamation of nature and culture after the super success of her web series Kohrra.
She just went for it, the sun sand, and the sea! “I went with my group of friends, it’s the perfect party place to be. From adventure to meditation, Bali has everything for a tourist to enjoy. I never return to any of my travelling trips, but Bali is different. I will come back.”
With stunning beaches as far as the eye can see, it has some of the most gorgeous shorelines in the world. There is no bad time to visit as the weather is consistently warm and humid year-round. You’ll notice Balinese Hindu temples around the larger community areas as well as within family compounds, from the highlands to the coast. The Broken But Beautiful fame continues, “I saw so many beautiful landscapes. The black volcanic sands or the dance performances—I saw it all. The greenery is everywhere, the waterfalls are everywhere. You will see so many active hikers! I did my first scuba-diving in Bali, in total three. It was a shipwreck. Was a three-hour drive, but I had to go!”
She remembers a lot of rice fields, that made her feel like an innate part of Balinese culture.
admits that the rice paddies are a sight to see throughout the countryside, especially at first light. Be prepared to give a donation and wear shoes that can get wet and muddy (she laughed)! What else? Kathmandu Connection fame acknowledged, “I was riding through those rice paddies on a rented scooty. They were vast! There were plenty of green-filled landscapes to capture while visiting. Oh, and it was also the first time I wore a bikini! Can safely say, I had a lot of my firsts in Bali. Because it’s a casual place, I had the liberty to wear anything I like without being gazed on.”
