The High Court asked the Telangana government on Tuesday when it will hold elections to fill up the vacant posts in local bodies.
There are vacant posts in 220 panchayats, 94 MPTCs, four ZPTCs, and 5,364 wards. 344 posts of Upa Sarpanches are vacant.
In March, the HC had issued notices to the EC and the state government and had asked them to file a reply and the State government had sought more time.
The HC ordered the state government to reveal by July 25 when it will hold elections to the vacant posts in local bodies.
