The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday granted bail to YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi on medical grounds, and directed the state government to ensure he receives immediate treatment.
The court was hearing a petition filed by Vamsi seeking medical bail due to serious health complications. His counsel informed the court that the former legislator had been shifted between government hospitals, none of which had the necessary facilities to provide proper care.
Taking a serious view of the matter, the High Court instructed the government advocate to furnish details of the hospital where Vamsi would be treated, and underlined the need for immediate and adequate medical attention.
