HC grants bail to Viveka murder accused

The AP High Court has granted bail to Sheikh Dastagiri, who was accused in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy and turned approver. Dastagiri was arrested by the AP police in a kidnapping case. He is a remand prisoner in Kadapa jail in this case.
Jada Shravan Kumar argued on behalf of Dastagiri in the High Court and brought to the notice of the court that he has been a remand prisoner in Kadapa jail for the past 85 days. Advocate Shravan Kumar filed a petition in the High Court on behalf of Dastagiri to grant bail.
The petition came up for hearing on Wednesday. Advocate Jada Shravan Kumar argued that Dastagiri was detained by the Andhra Pradesh State police in a kidnapping case and that the AP police had registered several cases against Dastagiri in view of the elections.
