Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the State government and the CRDA to pay rent for tenant farmers. The Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi and Amaravati region tenant farmers filed a petition in the High Court against the State government and the CRDA for non-payment of annual tenancy rent and to release the payment immediately. On Tuesday, the court took up the case and issued notices to the government and the CRDA.
Counsel for the farmers U Muralidhar, said that rent payments were not done to the farmers for the current year till date. Later, the court issued notices to the State government and CRDA and adjourned the case for four weeks.
