The Telangana High Court has issued notices to the state government regarding the Bhoodan lands case. The HC also barred transactions involving Bhoodan lands and posted the case to June 26.
A person named Mahesh filed a petition alleging that some irregularities had taken place involving Nagaram Bhoodan lands in the Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district. He said in his petition that many IAS and IPS officers had registered those lands in their names or in the name of their proxies.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the state government and Bhoodan Board had refused to react to these irregularities even though he had filed a complaint with the government and the Bhoodan Board. The lawyer appealed to the HC to order a CBI or ED probe into the matter.
