Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is known for his versatile and impactful performances and he is now set to make his presence felt in Bollywood also. He is starring in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which is releasing on 7 September. Apart from it, he is starring in Merry Christmas which stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role. The film is racing for a grand release on 15 December.
The film’s promotions are in full swing and speaking to scribes, Katrina Kaif showered praises on Vijay Sethupathi. She said, “He is a phenomenal talent and working with him was great. He brings in a lot of ease. He does it effortlessly. It’s a film both of us are very passionate about.”
Speaking about Merry Christmas, she said “The film is an intense thriller. It’s a big-screen film. Such films take a lot from you, but the reward is great too. Since it is bilingual you can imagine the challenges for me. I speak in Tamil. Obviously, it’s not my language, but all the lines are said by me, the full scenes are performed by me.”
The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan of Phone Booth fame. Katrina says “Working with him was on the top of my bucket list. I feel very blessed.”
