Heat wave continues in TG as temperature soars

Indian Meteorological Department- Hyderabad (IMD-H) on Monday stated that temperature across Telangana soared to 44 degrees Celsius. It predicted that a heatwave is likely to continue in the State.
On April 8, isolated places in Telangana received light to moderate rains; On April 9, heat waves are expected to prevail in Khammam and Suryapet . Isolated places in districts including Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal are likely to experience a heat wave. Thunderstorms are likely to hit districts including Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad , Mancherial , Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtiyal, Rajanna Sirsilla, Peddapally, Karimnagar and Kamareddy.
On April 10, thunderstorms are likely to hit the aforementioned districts; similar conditions are likely to prevail till April 15. As per a report by the Telangana State Planning and Development Society (TSDPS), Hyderabad recorded a temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius on Monday while Suryapet recorded the highest temperature (44.5), followed by Nalgonda (44.5) Khammam (44.4) Jogulamba Gadwal (44.1) Peddapalli (43.8), Jjangaon (43.7) and Kothagudem (43.6)
The  maximum temperature across Telangana is expected to range from 38-41 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 23-26 degrees celsius. Parts of Telangana are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall till April 11. Areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are expected to have dry weather till April 11 while the maximum temperature is expected to range from 38-41 degrees celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to remain between 24-26 degrees celsius.  Areas including Uppal, Saroornagar and Secunderabad recorded 41.5 degrees celsius, followed by Khairatabad (41.3), Yousufguda (41. 4) and Charminar (41.1).
Telangana weather expert T Balaji took to X (formerly Twitter) and said, “After 12 days, finally temperature dropped to 41°C in Telangana and below 40°C in Hyderabad. Next 7days, normal summer weather is expected, some scattered storms too.”
