Heatwave continues in TG; temp rises to 43.10 C in Hyd

Heatwave continued  to prevail in Telangana as Nalgonda recorded the highest 46.6 degrees Celsius and Hyderabad recorded 43.1 degrees Celsius; a  report by the Indian Meteorological Department -Hyderabad (IMD-H) said.
As per the report, on May 2 dry weather prevailed over Telangana; on May 3 prolonged heat wave is likely to prevail over districts including Jagtiyal, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Mulugu, Bhadradri\Kothagudem and Khamammam. Districts including Peddapalli,  Jayashankar\Bhupalpally, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Mahabubabbad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba\Gadwal.
Similar conditions are likely to prevail across Telangana on May 4, 5 and 6. On May 6, light to moderate showers are expected in isolated place in the State. On May 7, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are expected in the aforementioned districts. The State is expected to experience showers till May 9.
Among districts Nalgonda, Peddapalli, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtiyal, Khammam and Mahabubabad recorded 46 degrees Celsius, Kumaram\Bheem, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Mahabubnagar, Jayashankar\Bhupalpally, Nirmal, Narayanpet, Hanamkonda recorded 45 degrees Celsius. Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal and Nizamabad recorded 44 degrees Celsius. Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy and Adilabad recorded 43 degrees celsius.
As per the Telangana State Planning and Development Society (TSDPS), dry weather is expected to prevail in the State from May2-5. The maximum  temperature is expected to remain between 41-45 degrees celsius; the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 26-29 degrees celsius. Areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are likely to experience dry weather. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 41-43 degrees; while the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 28-30 degrees celsius.
Among areas under the GHMC, Kapra recorded the highest maximum temperature (43.2) followed by LB nagar, Santoshnagar, Karwan, Jubilee Hills, Chandanagar and Mehdipatnam  (43), Malakpet, Saroornagar and Uppal (42.9).
