The Meteorological Centre issued a significant weather advisory on Saturday, forecasting heavy rainfall in parts of Andhra Pradesh. Residents are urged to brace themselves for potentially severe weather conditions over the next week.

According to the latest update, heavy rain is expected to lash isolated areas in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the coming days. The Meteorological Centre, in its daily weather report, has also predicted a similar scenario for South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from September 3 to September 6, as well as for Rayalaseema over the next three days.

Thunderstorms, accompanied by dangerous lightning, are likely to strike isolated regions across North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema throughout the next five days.

Moreover, the forecast indicates that light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at numerous locations in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema over the next seven days.

Over the past 24 hours, heavy rainfall has already been recorded in East Godavari and Alluri Sitarama Raju districts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, as well as in Nandyal district of Rayalaseema. Coastal Andhra Pradesh experienced rainfall at a few spots, while Rayalaseema saw isolated showers and dry weather persisted in other regions.

It’s important to note that the southwest monsoon has maintained normal conditions over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, as stated in the report.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather alerts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of inclement weather.
