The Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema over the next 24 hours.
According to the daily weather report issued on Tuesday, heavy rainfall is also likely in both regions over the next 72 hours. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph, are expected at isolated places in these areas for the next five days.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at many places across Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema over the coming week.
The report noted that Repalle in Bapatla district recorded heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. Rainfall was reported at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few locations in Rayalaseema during the same period.
