The Southwest Monsoon has been normal over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Under its influence, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema during the next five days.
The same situation is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong surface winds with speed ranging from 30- 40 Kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days.
The Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or at a few places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
Very heavy rainfall occurred over the Anantapur district of Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh  and at one or two places over Rayalaseema during the same period, the report added.
Tuesday’s trough from Rayalaseema to Comorin area now seen from south Telangana to a cyclonic circulation lies over southeast Arabian sea and adjoining Kerala coast and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level
