Heavy rain lashes Nellore

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Monday.

In a daily weather report in Amaravati, it said very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in SPS Nellore district of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Northeast Monsoon has been active in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain occurred at a few places in Rayalaseema and at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, while dry weather prevailed in Yanam of Puducherry, the report said.
