Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha starrer Kushi’is getting ready to hit the theatres in five days. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movies banner, the film is directed by Siva Nirvana. Made as a love and family entertainer, Kushi is getting ready for a grand release on September 1.

Malayalam music director Hesham Abdul Wahab grabbed the attention of Telugu film industry by giving super hit music for this movie. Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab shared the experience of making music for the movie Kushi with the media.
After the release of his Malayalam hit film Hridayam, he got a call from Mythri Movie Makers. They asked him to work for the film Kushi. After hearing the story told by Shiva, he knew he was going to work for a beautiful movie. I immediately accepted this project. Sharing his experience working on the film, he says, “Working for the film Kushi’was a thrilling experience. Our journey has been exciting since the beginning of this film till the completion of the entire music work yesterday. The audience will see the efforts we put in the film in the theater.”

The music of Kushi has surely received major traction for its tune, lyrics, background and other details. Abdul reveals that they had used instruments like veena and sitar for the movie Kushi. “From the song Na Roja Nuvve to the recently released Osi Pellama, all the songs have been done well. We have done complete music for this movie. Director Shiva Nirvana wanted the music to appeal to all sections of the audience in the movie. The title song is the hard composed song in this movie. Kushi’s title song was originally not in the film. I tuned in for the teaser. But everyone liked that tune and director asked me to sing it. So I did Kushi’s title song. So far we have done 20, 25 demos. They talk about Kushi’s songs even when they go abroad. That is a big achievement for us.”

For the unaware, Na Roja Nuvve song has lyrics with director Mani Ratnam movie titles Yes, you read that right! It was director Siva who planned the song to be like this, and he himself wrote the lyrics. “Vijay is a Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman fan in this movie. He sings a song about love, reminiscing about his favorite director’s and music director’s movies. This theme is well worked out. Kushi will be a musical blockbuster,” he shares adding, “Shiva is a passionate director about music. He is a director who knows what he wants. We did music sittings in a hotel for a month. I have worked for a film for a long time and it was Kushi. Hero Vijay knows what kind of music the audience wants from his movies. That’s why he used to tell me his suggestions. They helped a lot. His involvement in music as a team member is good.”

Abdul has always been a believer that if the music is good, the audience can be drawn to the theatres. And he even shares that the chemistry between Samantha and Vijay’s characters in Kushi is very good, well, just like what we’ve got to see! “Vijay and Samantha’s pair will be a big asset for this movie. Good opportunities are coming in Telugu film industry. I am happy to see how Tollywood is inviting me. This is an industry that craves good music. As a music director there is no limit to make such movies. I want to do music for all genres of movies,” shares the music director who is next going to begin working for the music of Hi Nanna, and will also be providing music for the film directed by Sriram Aditya and starring Sharwanand.
