Tension prevailed at Nallajerla as some TDP activists allegedly attacked the house of former ZPTC Subramanyam where Home Minister Taneti Vanita was having dinner on the night of Tuesday and vandalized furniture and smashed windscreen of vehicle and also damaged the sound system of a campaign vehicle.
The violence incident took place on the night of Tuesday when the Home Minister halted her campaign to have dinner in the house of the YSRCP leader. Some TDP activists allegedly attacked the house. They damaged furniture, smashed the windscreen of a vehicle and damaged the sound system of a campaign vehicle. They wielded sticks and pelting stones created a panicky situation at the house where the Home Minister was staying for about 15 minutes.
The YSRCP activists clashed with the thrown pelting TDP activists in which seven activists of both the parties suffered injuries. SP Jagadish rushed to Nallajarla and visited the place. The police registered cases on the incident, examined the CCTV footage and detained some activists.
Responding to the incident, Home Minister Taneti Vanita said that when she was in YSRCP leader Subramanyam’s house, the TDP activists damaged furniture and vehicles.
She alleged that TDP candidate Venkata Raju was among those who attacked the house. With the defeat of fear, the TDP activists attacked the house, she slammed.
