HOUSEHOLD WATER TAP CONNECTION SURVEY 94% of work completed in V’wada VMC Commissioner Dhyanachandra inspects progress of the survey in city

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has made significant progress in its ongoing household drinking water tap connection survey, with 94% of the work completed, according to Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra. The Commissioner assured that the remaining 6% would be finalised soon.
During a field inspection at Governerpet in Vijayawada on Saturday, Commissioner Dhyanachandra reviewed the survey’s progress. He discussed the ongoing efforts with the Ward Administrative Secretary and Amenities Secretary.
The Commissioner instructed VMC staff to ensure that every household is assessed for tap connections without exception. He also emphasised the importance of accurately uploading the survey data online.
Commissioner Dhyana chandra noted that of the 2,33,121 assessments under the purview of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, 2,20,592 assessments have already been surveyed. He urged the staff to complete the remaining surveys promptly and submit the final report.
Additionally, the Commissioner commended the Zonal Commissioners for their swift progress in the survey. He called for collaboration between the Revenue and Engineering departments to expedite the completion of the remaining 6% of the survey.
VMC Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) G. Srijana, DEE (Water Supply) Ramakrishna, Assistant Commissioner B. Srinivasa Rao, Revenue Inspector Srinivas, Assistant Engineer Narmada, and other officials were present during the inspection.
