Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is going to hold a meeting with Congress MLAs at the MCRHRD on Thursday from 2 pm onwards.
The meeting will discuss how to take the BCs caste census and SC categorization to the people. The Chief Minister would give directions to MLAs on local body elections too. It is learnt that the Chief Minister would also discuss the secret meeting organised by 11 Congress MLAs recently.
AICC in-charge General Secretary Deepa Das Munshi, Deputy Chief Minister and TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud are attending the meeting. Deepa Das Munshi will come to Hyderabad on Thursday.
It is learnt that MLAs will be divided into four groups and the CM will have separate meetings with the four groups. The CM will discuss with the MLAs problems in their constituencies and in the party, it is learnt.
Meanwhile, the BRS MLAs had joined the Congress, held a meeting at Danam Nagender’s residence and discussed things in the context of the notices they had got from the Assembly Secretary. They discussed what to do and what answer should be given to the Assembly Secretary and the Supreme Court.
TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said the party is holding a family meeting and everything will be discussed. He said the meeting would also discuss the Theenmar Mallanna issue.
‘Govt will correct errors’
Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the government will correct mistakes in the caste census report if nay in a responsible manner.
Addressing the media at the Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, Ponnam said that opposition parties had tried to sabotage the caste census.
The BRS had expelled Eatala Rajender when he asked about rights. Why did the BRS expel BC leader Eatala, Ponnam asked.
Does any BRS leader have the guts to ask why one leader is holding three key posts in the BRS, Ponnam asked.

On what moral basis does the BRS question the caste census, he asked.
Ponnam asked opposition leaders to explain the mistakes they had found in the caste census. He said that a roadmap was prepared for weaker sections. “People should not fall into the trap of conspirators. We will correct mistakes if any,” he said.
Ponnam asked the BRS to explain what they had done for BCs in the last 10 years. The Congress government is ready for a debate, he said, making it clear that the government will fulfil its assurances given in the Kamareddy Declaration.
