HRDA makes clean sweep in TSMC elections

The Health Care Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) on Friday secured a clean sweep in the Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) elections. All 13 candidates of the association emerged victorious.
Out of the 13,779 votes counted over the last two days 3,311 were declared invalid. HRDA President Dr K Mahesh Kumar secured 6,735 votes; Dr Pratibha secured 7,007; Dr Raj Kumar 6,593 votes; Dr Srinivs G secured 6,454 votes; Dr Kiran Kumar secured 6,434 votes; Dr Anand secured 6,192 votes; Dr Yeganna secured 6,086 votes; Dr Ravi Kumar secured 6,085 votes; Dr Naresh Kumar secured 6,091 votes; Dr Srikanth secured 5,974 votes; Dr Sunny secured 5,912 votes; Dr Vishnu secured 5,844 votes and Dr Imran secured 5,695 votes.
Following, the declaration of results, the Telangana Junior Doctor Association congratulated the candidates and said, “HRDA comprises ex-JUDA members who, driven by their unwavering commitment to the well-being of the doctors community, established the HRDA. This organisation became the platform to amplify their voices and fight persistently on various fronts, addressing issues ranging from exams to PG counselling and fighting against quackery in the State. The passion and dedication displayed by HRDA members have been consistent, with their advisory role in the JUDA panel being a testament to their commitment. When the opportunity to contest in the TSMC election arose, HRDA members, who had been steadfastly combating challenges, decided to further strengthen their voice against quackery. Upon seeking support, JUDA being the biggest doctors association, wholeheartedly embraced HRDA’s decision and mobilised every junior residents across Telangana to ensure widespread support. The collaboration resulted in a resounding victory for HRDA.”
