The city was filled with a celebratory spirit on Friday as Telangana Formation Day on June 2 was commemorated with great enthusiasm. Officials and government bodies joined in the festivities by hoisting the Indian flag, marking the 10th year of Telangana formation. The government had called for grand celebrations known as “Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu” (Decennial Celebrations) to honour this milestone.
The High Court for the State of Telangana took part in the Formation Day celebrations. Justice P Naveen Rao, Senior Judge of the High Court, unfurled the national flag on this significant occasion. The event featured cultural activities closely tied to the heritage of Telangana.
RM Dobriyal, Chief Forest Conservation Officer, stated, “The achievements of the forest department in the 10 years of Telangana development are memorable.” He raised the national flag in the presence of officers, employees, and staff at Aranya Bhavan, the Forest Department’s headquarters, as part of the celebrations.
Dobriyal highlighted the significance of Haritha Haram in Telangana’s journey over the past decade, emphasising that the support of the government and society has led to tangible green outcomes. Telangana has achieved environmental protection milestones that surpass those of any other state in the country. He called upon every forest officer and staff member to continue their hard work and make Telangana the most livable state.
Cyber Crimes DCP Ritiraj, who served as the chief guest for the 10th anniversary celebrations of Telangana State, unfurled the national flag at the Police Commissionerate in Cyberabad. Tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Telangana movement, followed by a salute from the police security personnel.
DCP Ritiraj acknowledged that Telangana state came into existence on June 2, 2014, through the sacrifice of Telangana martyrs and the efforts of activists. She praised Telangana police for their exemplary work in all departments, serving as a role model for the country. The police force in Telangana tirelessly maintains peace and order, making the state one of the safest places in the country.
