Hydel generation will be started depending on inflows into the Krishna Basin. The Chairman and Managing Director of the Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO) & TSGENCO, D. Prabhakar Rao, reviewed the transmission and generation position in the State in view of the heavy rains with the Transmission Director and TSGENCO officials.
Instructions have been issued to all field engineers to be present at their headquarters to attend to emergencies. Central Breakdown Gangs are also equipped at all EHT Substations to attend to emergencies/breakdowns. All generating stations are performing normally with sufficient coal stocks.
The CMD of TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO said that all TS power utilities are fully geared to tackle any eventuality and steps are being taken to maintain power supply throughout the state.Annamaneni Gopal Rao, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, said that consumers in the 17 districts under the jurisdiction of the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited, especially farmers, should be alert about electricity in view of the heavy rains.
He said that a control room will operate 24X7. The corporation will monitor the power supply in all 16 circles.
