hyderabad Lok Sabha seat 2,217,094 voters and 30 candidates

Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty said that the number of voters in Hyderabad is now 2,217,094. Of these, 1,125,310 are men, 1,091,587 are women, and 107 are transgender individuals.
He said the nominations process has been completed. 58 nominations were accepted and 19 were rejected during scrutiny. Eight nominations were withdrawn.
Collector Anudeep Durishetty was speaking at a press conference held at the Hyderabad Collectorate on Tuesday.
He said that 30 candidates are in the fray and that symbols were allotted in three categories on April 29. Form 7A has been finalised and sent to the ECI. Preparations for postal and EVM ballots are over and all arrangements will be in place by May 1.
He said that absentees will have the option of home voting through postal ballots. Over 129 physically challenged and essential services people will be provided home voting facilities and they can vote through postal ballots on May 3.
Route planning is being done door to door and teams carrying postal ballots are moving with police escorts, micro observers, and polling agents. Home voting arrangements have been provided for voters aged above 85 on May 3 and 4.

The Collector urged people confined to homes to make use of the postal voting facility. “A voter facilitation centre for employees on election duty is provided at the All Saints High School in the Hyderabad LS constituency for those accepted on Form 12. 5,989 employee voters are expected to make use of this,” he said.
