TeamLease Digital, a prominent tech staffing and learning solutions provider, released its latest data on the distribution of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) across India for FY25, showcasing Hyderabad’s key role in technological innovation. The report highlights Hyderabad’s contribution of 14% to TeamLease Digital’s client base in the first two quarters, with 45% of this concentration driven by the High-Tech industry.
The city’s GCCs are noted for their adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including Cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, and blockchain, positioning them as frontrunners in global digital transformation.
Bengaluru remains a major GCC hub, representing 36% of TeamLease Digital’s client base, with the High-Tech sector accounting for 37% of the city’s talent pool. Professional Services and Manufacturing sectors are also making significant contributions. Meanwhile, the Mumbai/Pune region claims 31% of GCC partnerships, driven by high-tech and automotive industries. Pune, in particular, is emerging as a key player in the automotive sector.
Delhi-NCR rounds out the top regions with 22% of the overall GCC headcount, driven by contributions from Software, Platform, and High-Tech sectors. The region’s Oil and Gas industry is also a notable contributor, with 6.5% of the GCC workforce. Neeti Sharma, CEO of TeamLease Digital, emphasized the impact of Hyderabad’s GCCs in driving global operations.
“GCCs have become hubs of innovation, particularly in Hyderabad, where advancements in Cloud, AI, and cybersecurity are revolutionizing industries,” Sharma said. Sectors such as Healthcare, BFSI, and Retail have seen significant growth, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 30% between 2021 and 2023, despite broader IT industry downturns.
TeamLease Digital expects further growth in GCCs, particularly in the Retail and E-commerce sectors, with projected CAGR of 8.4% by 2027.
This, combined with steady growth in Healthcare and Software sectors, signals a shift in the global workforce and the increasing demand for niche skills.
