Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (Hydraa) Commissioner AV Ranganath has conducted an on-site inspection in response to complaints received through Prajavani regarding land encroachments and related issues in various areas.
Commissioner Ranganath visited Lothukunta, Tirumalagiri village to inspect an alleged encroachment of government land. In the Cantonment area, the land is officially recorded as State government property in General Land Records, but private individuals are claiming ownership. The Commissioner directed officials not to permit any constructions on the 100 plus acres of land under dispute.
The Commissioner also visited Lingam Cheruvu Canal, located downstream of Bubba Khan Lake, where locals complained that encroachments on the lake’s drainage channels were blocking the natural flow of floodwater, leading to flooding. Based on a court order regarding the issue, the Commissioner urged residents and real estate developers to collaborate on a resolution.
The Commissioner later inspected government land near Hafeezpet, directing officials to verify whether land beneficiaries under the TDR (Transferable Development Rights) scheme had illegally occupied additional government land.
