Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has received 64 complaints through Prajavani on Monday. The issues ranged from encroachments on parks and public spaces to demands for road clearances and protection of water bodies. Â
Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath directed officials to take immediate action by verifying complaints with Google Maps and Survey of India records. He also ordered field inspections within a week, ensuring all parties involved are consulted for swift resolution. Â
RK Puram Officers’ Colony (Malkajgiri Circle): Army officers’ welfare association reported the encroachment of a 3,000-square-yard park.
Residents alleged illegal occupation of designated public spaces in Subhodh and Swagruha Housing Societies, along with encroachments at Ambir Lake and Aditya Nagar (2,000 sq yards).
Jaypuri Colony (Pocharam Municipality, Ghatkesar): Plot owners complained about land meant for public use being taken over for private villas in a 56-acre panchayat layout dating back to 1968. Â
Ekasila Nagar (Pocharam Municipality): Residents raised concerns over encroachment of parks and a 50-foot road, with 15 feet of it being taken over by an engineering college for vehicle parking. Â
Bachupally (Dollar Meadows, Quthbullapur Municipality): Residents claimed a road leading to their colony was blocked, forcing them to travel extra kilometers. They urged Hydraa officials to verify the layout and restore access.
