HYDRAA reclaims land by demolishing obstructions

Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) reclaimed 1,200 square yards of public land in various colonies by demolishing walls and obstructions while clearing the way for colonies.
Following complaints from residents that unauthorised walls were obstructing access to residential areas in Kapra Municipality, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, HYDRAA removed a wall built by NRI Colony residents, which was obstructing road access. The demolition has now restored connectivity to four colonies: Senior Citizens Colony, Shanti Villas, Lakshmi Villas, Gaurinath Puram and Vampuguda   According to the residents, previously they had to take a 3-kilometer detour to reach the main Dammaiguda road, but with the obstruction cleared, the distance has been reduced to just 100 meters. The officials from Kapra Municipality assured that new roads would be laid immediately in the cleared areas.  
Similarly, in Rallaguda village, Shamshabad mandal, HYDRAA removed an unauthorised wall blocking access to the Outer Ring Road (ORR). Additionally, a 50-meter wall in Sainikpuri, Malkajgiri Circle, which was restricting access to Army Officers’ Colony, was also demolished, restoring free movement.  
In Shamshabad mandal’s Rallaguda village, a 155-meter-long wall was demolished as it obstructed access to the ORR service road. Residents from nearby layouts had complained about the blocked pathway, prompting authorities to take action.  

Similarly, on Kukatpally-Nizampet Road, a wall illegally built around government land behind Holistic Hospital was removed. Following a complaint by a retired army personnel, who claimed his allocated 300-square-yard plot was encroached, an investigation revealed that 1,253 square yards of government land had been illegally occupied. The authorities demolished the wall surrounding the encroached land.
